A February Spring

Spring gave us a taste this weekend. Snow was still on the ground, yet fellow Philadelphians took to the parks to soak in some sun. Who knows when we would be able to see the sun again? After all, it's only February and we're doomed for 30 more days of cold. This especially gave me and Mason a great excuse for a "long" walk.

After grabbing coffee at La Colombe, J and L joined us at Rittenhouse Square.

Southern Hospitality

This weekend, K and I traveled to Birmingham, AL for her cousin's wedding. I felt blessed to have been welcomed into such a tight-knit family. Say what you want about Alabama (or the South) for that matter, but there's no ignoring Southern Hospitality.

The groom is a pilot in the US Air Force and so it was very fitting that the rehearsal dinner was at the Southern Museum of Flight. Food was great. The wait staff asked me if I wanted grape juice instead of champagne. As "pay back," I drank beer and tipped them lots. After the formal program, we perused the airplanes that were everywhere and we even got to sit in a few of them.
