Seattle, WA

Crazy. I had never been to Seattle, WA and it just so happened that a dear friend was getting hitched to an amazing guy. The wedding was on Saturday, but I opted to stay from Thursday through Monday morning to get to know the city. I stayed in Capitol Hill, which was extremely convenient to everything. I even had a Starbucks that I ended up "frequenting." Go figure.

Anyway, here's to you, Chris and Linda, on a beautiful wedding! Sorry to hog the Photo Booth. It's only in my nature.

Independence Day: Papa Mondt Comes to Town

For most people, July 4th weekend was all about celebrating this country's birthday. Sure, I'm patriotic, but it was also the final weekend of the Women's World Cup and that's where my attention was. Papa Mondt also paid a visit that weekend and we both share a die-hard love of football, I mean soccer...

Again, rented a Lumoid lens for the weekend. This time, I wasn't as keen on it, but you live and learn (and that's the whole point of this service, right?). I did get a couple cool experimental shots using the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Lens.

An Urban Beach

It's winter, yes, I know. When it gets this cold out (with imminent snowstorms looming), I dream of warmer times and commence spring cleaning. It's a sort of wishful thinking deal. As I'm doing that, I go through my photos and clear out the clutter. Alas, I found these photos that never made it up. It's a shame, really, because it was one of the highlights of last summer. Spruce Street Harbor Park is an urban beach on the Delaware River Front. It comes complete with shuffleboard, hammocks, ping pong, and a beer garden catered by Jose Garces. What else could you want?

Here are the photos from that lovely Sunday in August.
