An Urban Beach

It's winter, yes, I know. When it gets this cold out (with imminent snowstorms looming), I dream of warmer times and commence spring cleaning. It's a sort of wishful thinking deal. As I'm doing that, I go through my photos and clear out the clutter. Alas, I found these photos that never made it up. It's a shame, really, because it was one of the highlights of last summer. Spruce Street Harbor Park is an urban beach on the Delaware River Front. It comes complete with shuffleboard, hammocks, ping pong, and a beer garden catered by Jose Garces. What else could you want?

Here are the photos from that lovely Sunday in August.

A February Spring

Spring gave us a taste this weekend. Snow was still on the ground, yet fellow Philadelphians took to the parks to soak in some sun. Who knows when we would be able to see the sun again? After all, it's only February and we're doomed for 30 more days of cold. This especially gave me and Mason a great excuse for a "long" walk.

After grabbing coffee at La Colombe, J and L joined us at Rittenhouse Square.
